Makapuno Biscotti is an Italian-inspired cookie developed by the National Coconut Research Center-Visayas funded by the Visayas State University with the Utility Model 2-2016-000066. The product is primarily made from makapuno meat and pressed coconut meat – also known as “sapal” in the Philippines, which is a byproduct of the processing of Virgin Coconut Oil.
Baked twice in order to achieve the perfect texture, the product is also a potential source of protein and fiber which is good for your health.
