VSU has since expanded also to include six other newly established research centers, including:

• Eastern Visayas Innovation Center for Health Biotechnology (EV-Biotech)
• Geospatial & GIS Research & Services Center (GRID)
• Center for Socio-Cultural Research & Heritage Studies (CSCRHS)
• Livestock and Poultry R&D Center (LPRDC)
• Forest Products Innovation and Training Center (FPITC)
