
VSU Extension Hosts TOT on Financial Management
The VSU Extension, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development 8 (DSWD-8), successfully conducted a three-day Training of Trainers (TOT) on Financial Management from August 27 to 29, 2025, at the PhilRootcrops Training Hall, VISCA, Baybay City, Leyte.
The intensive training aimed to equip participants with the essential financial management knowledge and strategies necessary for enhancing their local communities and organizations.
Resource persons for the event were Eurice Ed D. Mangaoang, Wella Marie A. Mangaoang, Marlon T. Andrino, and Maria Aries O. Poliquit, all from VSU. They conducted courses in Digital Marketing, Leadership, Simple Record Keeping and Inventory, all of which were designed to be practical, accessible, and relevant to the grassroots level.
The Training of Trainers program ended with a Monthly Meeting/Strategic Planning session aimed a sustaining the level of mastery attained by the participants by encouraging them to become practitioners and trainers at the community level.
This initiative is part of the VSU Extension Office’s continuing commitment to community development through education and capacity-building, particularly in the rural and marginalized areas.
