
VSU Faculty of Engineering Holds Its First Grand Lecture and Engineering Colloquium
The VSU Faculty of Engineering held its Grand Lecture and Engineering Colloquium on May 15, 2025, at the VSU RDE Hall. The event featured lectures from Dr. Donald M. Ugsang of AIT Thailand and Dr. Rico O. Cruz, a Balik Scientist of DOST from the United States. They shared their experiences and insights in the field of engineering, inspiring both the students and faculty members.
Meanwhile, Engr. Arthur T. Tambong also shared his insights during the Grand Lecture and Engineering Colloquium, part of the VSU Faculty of Engineering’s 50th Founding Anniversary celebration.
Students from the various departments of the Faculty of Engineering presented their research and poster exhibits. These presentations gave students the opportunity to showcase their hard work, creativity, and problem-solving skills. They also provided a platform to share contributions to engineering knowledge and development, further highlighting the quality of education offered by the Faculty of Engineering. Engr. Arthur T. Tambong was also present to comment on and provide insights into the students’ research projects.
This project was included in the observance of the 50th Founding Anniversary of the VSU Faculty of Engineering, wherein faculty members, staff, and alumni took part. Dr. Cruz and Dr. Ugsang are graduates of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering.
