VSU-Isabel Bags Awards in BE-MTS International Multidisciplinary Research Conference 2025

Faculty members and student researchers from VSU-Isabel bagged awards at the prestigious 2025 BE-MTS International Multidisciplinary Research Conference held at Primakara University in Bali, Indonesia on July 14-16, 2025.

Representing the VSU Isabel Department of Business Management, Faculty of Engineering and Technology and student researchers from the Research, Extension and Innovation Office brought home several Best Paper Award signifying the university’s commitment to research excellence and community development.

The 4th Best Paper was presented to Charmaine P. Yu for her analytical work entitled, “A Postural Analysis of Rice Farmers in Merida, Leyte”. The 3rd Best Paper Award was awarded to Marjonnel B. Abella-Chan for her paper, “Effects of Local Rice Attributes on Consumer’s Purchasing Decision in Isabel, Leyte”. 

Meanwhile, Michelle I. Aballe received the 2nd Best Paper Award for her study entitled: “Motivation, Competence, and Research Productivity in Selected SUCs in Region 8: Implication for Academic Planners”.

The Best Paper Award was conferred to several outstanding researchers: Ana Marie Kim C. Roche for her study, “The Effectiveness of Performance Appraisal System of Job Order Workers in Visayas State University – Isabel”; Lecil N. Managbanag for her research on, “Market Acceptability of Banana Vinegar in Isabel, Leyte”; Jisame E. Ele for the paper, “Ergonomic Risk Assessment of the Administrative Workers in Visayas State University Isabel,” and  Jheanne T. Lubiano for her study entitled: “Perceived Problems Encountered by Cacao (Theobroma cacao) Farmers in Isabel, Leyte”. 

With the theme, “Spearheading Cutting-Edge Multidisciplinary Research Toward Academic Excellence in the Post-Pandemic Era”, the conference highlighted the vital role of innovative research in driving academic progress and addressing contemporary challenges in a rapidly evolving world.

VSU-Isabel continues to foster a vibrant research culture, empowering its scholars to explore diverse fields from agricultural science and business management to ergonomics and social development, reflecting the institution’s mission of generating knowledge for the benefit of society.
