VSU Conducts 2026 Annual In-House Review

Visayas State University (VSU) successfully conducted its 2026 Annual In-House Review (AIHR) from July 6–10, 2026, at the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation (OVPREI) Building. The event served as a platform for evaluating the progress, accomplishments, and outcomes of the university’s completed and ongoing research and extension programs and projects.

The five-day review brought together project leaders, researchers and extension implementers to present and assess a diverse range of specializations across various disciplines. Presentations covered fields, including Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources (AANR), health, sustainable energy, waste management, infrastructure, biodiversity, climate resilience, disaster preparedness, public service, governance, peace and order, green technology, digital farming systems, entrepreneurship, among others.

Throughout the review, the Technical Review Committee provided constructive comments and recommendations to further strengthen the quality, relevance, and impact of all the presented projects. These insights were documented by the designated rapporteurs and will be consolidated into a comprehensive report for dissemination to the concerned project teams.

This is essential for organizing and storing knowledge and enabling it to travel within the university’s system, facilitating its effective use in the continuous improvement process of the university’s extension programs and projects.

The Annual In-House Review remains a vital institutional activity that enables the university to assess the performance of its research and extension initiatives, promote knowledge exchange among experts, and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in fulfilling its mandate of instruction, research, extension, and innovation.
