VSU Isabel Conducts BOSH and Disaster Management (SO1) Training for Barangay Officials

VSU Isabel successfully conducted the project “Charging Barangay Officials of Isabel, Leyte About Basic Occupational Safety and Health ( BOSH ),” Disaster Management Calamity (SO1) Training on August 8, 2025. The initiative aimed at equipping local barangay officials with knowledge and skills in occupational safety and health, as well as disaster preparedness and response.

The SO1 training course is specially designed for barangay officials, offering practical ideas in workplace safety and health. Participants learned to identify potential hazards, prevent accidents, and promote safe practices within their respective communities. The program not only enhances individual competencies but also strengthens collective preparedness in times of emergency or calamity.

The training was conducted online in partnership with the Occupational Safety and Health Center – Regional Extension Unit VIII (OSHC–REU 8) and was participated in by the active barangay officials in the municipality. Their engagement and cooperation speak volumes about their strong commitment to building safer and healthier communities in Isabel, Leyte.
